Fruitz is looking for a passionate and talented Lead Product Designer to improve its user experience. You like to interact with people, have a critical mind, a strategic vision, and you are at ease in operational matters. You will work in a small but very experienced engineering and product team (10-12 people). Fruitz’s user interface didn’t evolve much in the last 5 years. You will have the freedom to explore modern visual styles and interactions and shape the new design rules of Fruitz for millions of users to use daily. Fruitz is now part of the Bumble family since February 2022. This will give you direct access to more than 500 experts in all the domains you can dream of in order to improve your skillset and deliver the best possible results.

The latest UI revamp we worked on. Fruitz was created in 2017 and a lot of views are super old. A part of our daily tasks is thinking about modern ways to update them!

Key accountabilities

As a Lead Product Designer, working closely with the Head of Design and another Product Designer, you will have the following tasks:
  • Design Fruitz’s core features and visual aspect on mobile
  • Craft a well thought and a well documented UX with all the necessary tools (customer journeys, prototypes, …)
  • Design the final UI and describe all design specifications to the engineering team
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team
  • Develop the Product Design team processes
  • Push new ideas, backed by data information and your customer feedback analysis
  • Challenge the product aspect and its strategy and develop a product vision
  • Update the main visual assets and tone of the app
  • Mentor other designers

  • Are comfortable in writing product specifications and collaborating with engineers
  • Are used to fast product iterations
  • Have excellent prototyping skills: choice of tools, scenario, velocity
  • Know how to design clean interfaces with a great eye for delightful design
  • Master Figma and are familiar with component management
  • Have good benchmark habits and keep yourself updated about product and design trends
  • Are able to get feedback, and if you know how to build feedback
  • Are extremely well organised and autonomous. You know the balance between freedom of exploration and focusing on what matters most at a given time
  • Are fluent in English, written and oral

Cherry on the cake

  • Skills in motion design
  • Experience in gamified UX and or social apps
  • Experience with React Native and its limitations
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS


  • 6+ years of professional experience as a designer (Product Designer, Visual designer)
  • Shipped high-quality products within a product and engineering team
  • Detail-oriented, with expertise in UX, UI, and visual design. Able to deliver production-ready assets for development
  • Fluency in English is required (French is not mandatory)
  • Have proven experience in mentoring or teaching (mentoring in previous companies, design school classes, youtube videos, articles, books, …)


Day to day

  • While we have a roadmap set for 2023 with ambitious goals, we freely try new design directions and improve old screen views
  • We have workshops and discussions with the mobile team to imagine new features or fix existing ones
  • We all work in perfect autonomy: we know when it's necessary to have a useful meeting

Contract details

  • Type: full-time contract (CDI)
  • Starting date: as soon as possible
  • Compensation: 72k+ depending on seniority + equity

  • Discovery & Technical screen (1hr): if your profile catches our attention we will setup a call to discuss the role, your experiences, your expectations, as well as some technical questions. It's the opportunity for you to feel if you want to work with us!
  • Adapted Case Study review (90min): after our first call, we will want to have a deeper understanding of your processes and the way you work. We will ask you to choose 1 or 2 projects you worked on in the past in order to pitch it and demonstrate your skills and ability.
  • Culture fit (30mn): this final step is the best time to get to know a bit better whom you might be working with at Fruitz. You will have the opportunity to meet other team members (marketing, engineers, designers), to ask questions about their day-to-day, their experiences at Fruitz, or even their hobbies.
We usually will give you an answer on that last step within 3/5 business days.

Meet the Product Design team

Working on Fruitz since day one after contributing to its core project Flashgap, I took the opportunity to work at Cheerz during 4 years. After a year of freelancing working on Electra, and a collaboration with Mozza, I joined back Fruitz in 2021.
Product Designer for 3 years, I joined the Fruitz team in 2022. I previously worked at Staycation and for the studio Viens-là. I graduated from HETIC digital communication master.
